What is a Dream Photo Session?

Magazines, especially the advertising, give us photos of women who are perfect. The secret is that the women are not perfect. The lighting is perfect. The posing is perfect. And, yes, Photoshop is used for some skin softening and taking care of curves that are in the “wrong” places. (As a note I will add that for advertising purposes, Photoshop is too often over used where the woman is totally unrecognizable from her real life self!)

A dream photo session is similar to being a model for the a day. First there is professional hair and makeup in the studio, clothing is chosen to best suit your body type, backdrops are chosen to compliment the outfits, and lighting is carefully placed to create both the mood of the photograph and to light you so the very best of you is revealed. Sometimes it will be the first time you’ve ever seen yourself in this way…sometimes it was years ago when you saw the beautiful woman you know yourself to be.

Take time to locate a professional portrait photographer who has the skills to show you the best photographs of yourself and someone with whom you feel comfortable and confident. That’s the photographer to choose to create heirloom images of you that everyone who loves you will want to display and to pass along to future generations.
